On October 7, 2022, the State Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph A. Lapado issued a new guidance on the use of COVID mRNA vaccines.
The Florida Dept. of Health conducted a self-controlled case series test to evaluate vaccine safety. They found that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. [1a | 1b] [2a | 2b] [3a | 3b]
Florida, being one of the most comprehensively reporting states, furthermore reported on February 2023 that:
“In Florida alone, there was a 1,700% increase in VAERS reports after the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, compared to an increase of 400% in overall vaccine administration for the same time period.”
“The reporting of life-threatening conditions increased over 4,400%.”
The Surgeon General, Dr. Lapado wrote a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) illustrating the risk factors associated with the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and emphasizing the need for additional transparency. [4a | 4b] [5a | 5b] He goes on to cite three studies that show excessive increases in risks of coagulation disorders, Bell’s palsy, encephalitis, cardiac arrests and other acute cardiac events, thromboembolic and thrombocytopenic, as well as an increased risk of both coronary disease and cardiovascular disease. [6a | 6b] [7a | 7b] [8a | 8b].
On March 10, 2023, the FDA and CDC both signed a four-page reply to Dr. Lapado [9a | 9b]:
“The claim that the increase of VAERS reports of life-threatening conditions reported from Florida and elsewhere represents an increase of risk caused by the COVID-19 vaccines is incorrect, misleading and could be harmful to the American public. The FDA-approved and FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines have met FDA’s rigorous scientific and regulatory standards for safety and effectiveness and these vaccines continue to be recommended for use by
CDC for all people six months of age and older. Both FDA and CDC have continued to collect outcome data from multiple sources that demonstrate the clear benefit of COVID-19 vaccines in preventing death, serious illness, and hospitalization from SARS-CoV-2 infection, along with indicating a modest benefit in the prevention of infection and transmission that wanes over time, even as new variants have emerged.”
The typical boilerplate response to begin with, followed by some ridiculous claims such as:
“Despite increased reports of these events, when the concern was examined in detail by cardiovascular experts, the risk of stroke and heart attack was actually lower in people who had been vaccinated, not higher.”
FDA & CDC’s snake oil claim
This defeats the rationale of modern pharmacology and the inherent fact that all vaccines have plausible side effects, none of which will ever decrease a heart attack by accident.
